How can I trust a carer in my home?
Just like nurses and doctors, Professional Carers have chosen a career in compassionate care of those in need. To ensure the service users are in safe hands from all types of abuse, all carers that are recruited must be in line with the recommended safeguarding and hiring procedures. These include Disclosure Barring Checks, great references, staff induction and regular training, staff will be provided relevant documents to keep up to date with policies.
We screen and check all of our carers before bringing them on the team. This includes a comprehensive background check and screening for compassion, identity, integrity, and competence.
How to get funding?
The most common questions we hear from people looking for care services is that of funding. We understand that choosing care can be difficult – that’s why we try to support you to make the process as simple as possible. There are a variety of ways to fund our personal care and support services:
- Your local authority may grant you a personal budget that you may use to make direct payments to our service. Your local authority may also commission the care directly with us.
- To add-on what your local authority funds, your family can purchase a set number of care hours on your behalf.
- You may wish to commission your own care using personal funds.
Your local authority will work out how much you need to contribute to home care costs in a financial assessment, also known as a means test. How much you will pay depends on your salary and savings, you may ask your local council for a financial assessment to check if you qualify.
We are available 24/7 to answer your needs. Contact our care representatives now and get all your cost and funding-related questions answered.
What if we don’t like our carer?
Contact us and we’ll refer another carer quickly at no additional referral cost.
Will we have a choice in selecting the carer?
Our carer allocation system works with each family to understand what unique skills and personality are desired in a carer. Feedback from satisfied service users usually indicates that a personality match is the #1 factor in a carer match, so we highly encourage client input. We will then make a referral based on our experience and your input.
How can I give feedback
We take all feedback seriously, whether positive or negative. Do get in touch for a confidential discussion and we will address any concerns as quickly as possible.
